Our pledge

We build charging.

The green part should not be a feeling in a brochure. It should be posts in the ground. This is how we have bound ourselves.

The pledge

What we earn beyond running the company builds new charging.

Earmarked for the transition of charging infrastructure. Not for marketing about the transition — for the build-out itself.

And the honest part: we are not profitable yet.

Vireno is not profitable today. This is a rule we commit to now, so that it is already in place the day there is something to distribute — not a flow that is already running.

We spell it out because a pledge of this kind, from a company that does not yet have anything to distribute, is easy to read as something it is not. We want you to be able to hold us to this later — and then you need to know exactly what you were promised.

What the money goes to

Four things. No funds, no certificates, no carbon offsetting somewhere else.

Charging points where they are missing

Not more chargers in the big-city garage. Where the route breaks down — depots, rental stations, towns that have been skipped.

Charging hubs we own ourselves

We want to step in and build, not just connect an app to someone else's hardware. If we own the charger, we can also set the price.

Solar and battery in the same place

The kilowatt-hour with the lowest cost is the one generated on the roof above the charger. Charging, solar and battery belong together.

Cheaper charging where Vireno applies

The build-out should show in the price, not only in a sustainability report.

Direction, not receipts. None of these sites exist today — this is what the money is meant to go to once it exists, and what we will be held to account against.

Why charging, and nothing else

Vireno makes its money on fuel. That is nothing we hide — it is the starting point. The question is what that money then does.

What is actually missing for more people to drive electric is not yet another app or yet another campaign. It is chargers in the right places, at a price people can manage. It is expensive, it is dull, and that is why too few build it.

So we make money on what is driven today, and pay it back into what will be driven tomorrow.

What we do not promise

  • That green fuel will be cheap. It is not, and we do not intend to claim otherwise.
  • That you should change how you drive. The app does not rank stations by how green they are.
  • That the money is already flowing. It is not — read the paragraph above again.

Hold us to it.

It is written here now, with date and figure. If we ever come with an explanation for why it became less — read it critically.
