Handing over keys at a car rental with rental cars in a row
For rental companies

A new revenue on every fill-up.

On the cars you already rent out. You earn on every litre filled, we handle the admin — and no extra hardware goes into the car.

  • No extra hardware
  • You decide the level
  • The volume is already there

Figures apply to Sweden and are in Swedish kronor. Vireno launches in Sweden first — more countries to follow.

What the rental business looks like

Demo with made-up numbers — the view is real, the customer and the amounts are not.
Volume shows per station
Where the litres are actually filled — a basis for where it pays to grow.
Every fill-up on the right car
No one can fuel another car on your account.
No discussion at the counter
The fill-up is logged against the right car and agreement. Everything adds up when the customer returns.

Fuel is a cost. It ought to be a revenue.

The volume gives you nothing

The cars are rented, driven and filled — but the fuel passes straight by you.

The full-tank fee irritates

A flat fee for an unfilled car creates friction and discussions at the counter.

Staff fill up returns

Empty returned cars are driven to the filling station by your staff. Time nobody invoices.

Receipts reconciled by hand

Collecting, interpreting and matching against the right car and agreement. Hours every month.

The solution

Earn on every litre filled — at a level you set yourselves.

The volume is already there. The only thing that changes is that it now pays you instead of only costing you. You decide the level; it is set in the agreement and is negotiable.

Worked example (illustrative)
~500 cars × ~82 litres of fuel per car and month (petrol, diesel, HVO – excl. electricity)
≈ 41,100 litres/month
× the level you set in the agreement
= your new revenue
Saved by using Vireno
≈ 550,000 kr/year
On top of the new revenue on fuel.

The amounts are illustrative and rounded — calculated on assumptions, not measured at a customer. Charging at connected stations gives you revenue in the same way. The assumptions (distance driven, consumption and fleet mix) are ours and are to be confirmed with the industry.

If you want to know more

“Does it get more expensive for the end customer?”No. Here is why.

Your revenue sits in the fuel deal itself — not as a surcharge on the customer's bill. The customer fills up exactly as usual and should not pay more: the model rests on a lower price per kilometre, not on an extra amount at the till. And no irritating full-tank fee.

We handle the adminThe new revenue should not cost work.

Receipts → finished invoice. All fuel receipts are synced automatically and become an invoice or quote pushed straight into your flow.

Start and pay easily. The driver starts the fill-up in the app — the right car and agreement are identified automatically. Payment can go through your own solutions, and the driving log creates itself.

One card per car — no block against the customer. Each car has its own card, so every fill-up lands on the right car and the right rental. The renter meets no restriction: they fill what is needed, and you earn on every litre.

Full overview — without stopping anyoneRight car, right rental, your own vehicles kept separate.

Right car, right rental. Every fill-up automatically lands on exactly the right car and is tied to the right rental — so invoicing is correct without rework.

You see everything, you stop nothing. Fill-up by fill-up, in real time. But since you earn on every litre there is no reason to refuse a renter — and Vireno does not either.

The renter gains too. Every fill-up earns Vireno coins in the app — even when it is you who charges for it. The coins are redeemed for a rebate on future fill-ups, so the customer gets something back for filling up with you rather than on the road. You keep the revenue, the customer gets the value.

Your own vehicles are another matter. For workshop cars, vans and company cars — the ones you pay the fuel for yourselves — you can set rules just like a company fleet. If you want to decide which fuel is accepted, you can. If you set no rule, Vireno blocks nothing.

What happens when the cars go electric?Same business — charging brings revenue too.

Charging at connected stations gives you revenue in the same way as fuelling, and of our three audiences, the rental business gets the largest share of it. So you do not change business model when the fleet changes drivetrain — and as Vireno builds out charging infrastructure, charging also gets cheaper for your own electric cars.

What we earn beyond running the company builds new charging. If you drive through Vireno, you help finance the build-out — a concrete part of your own sustainability story. And the honest part: we are not profitable yet.Read our pledge
